Douglas Anderson FIA CERA FSA
Douglas is the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Club Vita, specializing in applying modern data science techniques to innovate in longevity and mortality risk management. Douglas has a background in pension consulting in which he has over 30 years of experience leading to the creation of Club Vita to solve many of the problems he encountered with his clients.
Michael Reid
As Head of Pensions for North America, Mike’s primary focus is to implement Club Vita’s vision of improving access to cutting edge data-science tools and techniques in the North American pensions market. His role involves supporting Club Vita’s pension fund subscribers and licenced pension advisers in understanding, quantifying, and managing longevity risk. Mike joined Club Vita in 2022 bringing with him 20+ years of experience in the pension industry in a wide variety of roles. In his spare time, Mike enjoys running, yoga, cooking, and a good glass of wine.
Alexandra Sonnenwirth
Alex focuses on the delivery of longevity analytics and insights to both our Canadian pension plan and (re)insurer Club members. Alex brings a wealth of knowledge on Canada’s group annuity market, with over 5 years of pension risk transfer experience and having advised on over $3B in transacted DB liability. She previously dabbled in pension administration and pension consulting before discovering her passion for risk analytics.
Steven Baxter FIA
Steven is Club Vita’s chief data scientist and is the driver of our serial innovation. He leads our product development and delivery through research and innovation with a multi-disciplinary team analyzing predictors and emerging trends of mortality rates and the implications of longevity risk for pension plans and insurers. He is passionate about the longevity market, having worked on many innovative transactions including the first UK pension plan longevity swap to leverage a sponsor owned insurance vehicle.
Katherine Pelletier
Katherine is a seasoned actuary with more than 18 years of experience in the Canadian DB pension industry. In charge of leading the Canadian Operations Team, Katherine oversees the quality assessment process of Club member data, performs experience analyses, and prepares detailed longevity analytics reporting. Beyond work, Katherine enjoys reading, running, and exploring new destinations around the world.
Erik Pickett PhD FIA CERA
Erik leads the dissemination of Club Vita’s insights and analytics. He began his career as a mathematician, working at a number of universities around Europe, while moonlighting as a part time street performer. He transitioned to the world of actuarial science in 2011, retaining his passion for engaging communication, training first as a pensions actuary with Mercer and Hymans Robertson and later specializing in longevity analytics with Club Vita.
Jacklyn Hopkins
As a Senior Marketing Consultant, Jacklyn engages Club Vita’s community through various content channels with a digital marketing approach. She is focused on helping the team deliver innovative marketing solutions to promote awareness of longevity risk management; ultimately improving later-life financial well-being for all. Jacklyn has a background in brand management, and brings with her a strong interest and passion for marketing. In her spare time, you can catch her in her art room ready for her next acrylic pour painting.
